In the Thicke of it...

Mr. Robin Thicke, what can I say? I met you two jobs ago, when a co-worker put your station on Pandora and it caught my attention. But I didn't know you were a white guy. I honestly thought you were black. Tall, slender, no hair, and BLACK. You know, like one of Amy Winehouse's backup singers...

The next time I met you, it was at my neighbor's house. They were playing your new song, "Blurred Lines," which I of course had heard before. In fact, they weren't just playing your new song, they were watching the video on YouTube. This is how I found out you weren't black.

The video, of course, got my attention pretty quickly. As it did for the four men sitting around the patio table, watching the video.

So I downloaded your two albums, Something Else and The Evolution of Robin Thicke. I haven't gotten around to the latter album, but Something Else has definitely grown on me. I like your voice. I like your style. And I definitely like most of what you sing about. I hear many great influences in your music (Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson). Thanks for being a positive, creative addition to our world.

Oh, and here's the song I'm currently stuck on:

Dance dance dance.
